The History Of Bolder Events

Bolder Voices grew out of three groups in Camden and Brent. Clair's drama group at Age UK Camden’s Henderson Court started performing songs about things that were important to them: THE BANKERS ARE TO BLAME and AIN’T GONNA CLOSE OUR CENTRES DOWN. The manager of Henderson Court, Laurie White, was not only of like mind but also a fabulous guitar player. Together Clair and Laurie decided to form Bolder Events for older people who wanted to become involved in the arts to end their own isolation by making friends through the arts.

Joined by Elders Voice singers from Brent, Bolder Voices was born and began meeting for weekly rehearsals. We would never have got anywhere without the massive support of AgeUK Camden and Elders Voice and our talented volunteers. Thank you!
